In the course of last week there was a forum “Everything for children” in the Ukrainian city of Lviv. This forum was orchestrated by the department of social protection of citizens under Lviv regional state administration. Czech social workers also attended this online forum. Senator Šárka Jelínková introduced welfare services of Czech republic, which focus on endangered children and families. Mrs. Soňa Matulová also shared her valuable experience from working as a director of nursing home Daliborka which falls under the Caritas of Prostějov and offers supported housing to people with mental disabilities and their parents who are not capable of providing sufficient care because of their own age.

Online meeting was arranged by Caritas of the Archdiocese of Olomouc, which collaborates on a long-term basis with its Ukrainian partners. This partnership then allows people from said Caritas to help waifs and socially disadvantaged families.

We would like to use this opportunity to express our thanks to senator Jelínková and director Matulová for their presence and sharing of expert level knowledge and experience.
